• Hi everyone!

    I just wanted to say welcome to the web site Try Creative Writing. The site has been around for a year now but was largely abandoned as I had other projects come to the forefront, including moving, finding a new job, and graduating from college. However, now I've got everything together and wanted to let you know that the site would be receiving a massive overhaul over the next few months!

    The first thing being done to Try Creative Writing is a major expansion of content. Rather than focusing exclusively on creative writing tips, prompts, and contests, the site will now offer all kinds of information. Writers need to know about everything, from publishing to editing to writing. So we've added a variety of sections to provide full background on all facets of writing, and will continue to expand these sections.

    We also will be doing a major promotional campaign on the site as we seek to make it the utopia we once dreamed it to be. Creative writing is a solitary activity, but it's something we can share with one another. We hope to eventually draw enough interest at the site that we can introduce a submissions section where people can share and edit their work.

    In the meantime, please let us know if you would like to contribute anything to the site! We're always looking for help from anyone and everyone!
